About Us
Keshav Energy System Pvt. Ltd. established by Mr. Prakash Chander Tiwari in early 2011, started its journey in 1998 as Advanced Energy System (AES). AES was established with a view to introduce Energy Efficient & Pollution Control Products and services in the Indian Market, and to market Innovative technologies having potential for mass marketing.
In 1999, The Connecticut based US Technology Firm Advanced Power System International (APSI) Inc chose AES over several contenders for appointment as exclusive distributor for its product, the Fitch Fuel Catalyst (FFC), for India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The FFC is an Energy saving and Pollution control device for Oil/Gas Hydrocarbon fired combustion System. APSI was founded in 1994 by the legendary Race Car driver and Inventor John C Fitch, whose life is chronicled in the Biography 'Racing Through Life' by Carl Goodwin.
Earlier this year, we completed 20000 FFC installations in India. We have a dozen strong team of full time, trained and experienced technicians for FFC retrofitting work, and nation wide network of FFC dealers.
About the Product - What is the FFC?
As the name indicates, the FFC is a catalyst. By definition, a catalyst is a substance that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected. Accordingly, the FFC is not a fuel additive / consumable, but a special alloy that does not dissolve in the fuel. It is in the form of a Cylindrical Cannister containing a patented alloy which can be introduced anywhere in the fuel line (leading from the fuel tank to the fuel injector) after the fuel has passed through the fuel filter. As fuel passes over the alloy, the alloy chemically reformulates the fuel for more efficient combustion, resulting in fuel savings & lowered exhaust emissions.
The FFC is effective on all hydrocarbon fuels (both Oil & Gas), and is available for Internal Combustion Engines with power ratings in the range 1/4 to 1,00,000 HP(75 MW), for both stationary (DG sets and Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) and Vehicular (Road, Rail, Air and Sea) applications. It has a life of 50,000hrs (for Stationary applications) or 5,00,000 miles (for Road and Rail applications). It is also very effective in oil and gas fired burners. No Copper or cadmium in used in the construction of the FFC itself or in the catalyst housing or connectors. The FFC contains no moving parts so there is no breakdown due to wear and tear. It requires no external stimulus like heat or magnetic field at any stage. It can be installed in minutes and is virtually maintenance free (may require cleaning every 10,000 hours or 50,000 miles though).
The Nature of Fuel and the effect of the FFC on it
Hydrocarbon fuels are not perfect or uniform. As purchased at the pump, fuel is a mixture of about 40 primary and as many as thousand secondary species of hydrocarbon molecules. The short chain types of molecules present are too short and light and the asphalt types of molecules are too long and heavy.
Refineries cannot remove many of the poorly performing molecules (meaning poor performance during combustion). And once fuel leaves the refinery or is stored, it is subject to attack by oxygen, Ozone and Microorganisms (Bacteria, yeast and mold) that grow in the fuel. Al these processes degrade the fuel.
This poor fuel does not combust completely in engines and does not yield the maximum potential energy. Some of it forms carbon deposits and gums, and some enters as unburnt hydrocarbons in to the exhaust. Over time, engines develop problems like gumming and constriction of fuel system and carbon deposits in the combustion chamber and exhaust system
The FFC reverses any degradation that may have occurred prior to the fuel being introduced to the vehicle. It reformulates the fuel to a state that is capable of a more complete combustion. As a result, the engine converts the chemical energy in the fuel to mechanical energy in a more efficient manner. Engine power is increased as a result and the toxic exhaust emissions are decreased, frequently by more than half.
